Vice Dean for Development and Quality: Dr. Rayan bin Hamza Al-Sisi


He is a faculty member assigned to supervise development and quality processes, achieve accreditation and academic evaluation standards in the educational process in academic departments, control the quality of administrative work within the faculty, and work to develop and improve performance in all aspects and spread its culture. The Vice Dean is also linked to the Faculty Dean.


Tasks of the Vice Dean for Development and Quality:

1- Devoting the concept of quality and spreading its culture at the faculty or institute level.

2- Supervising the implementation of the quality program at the faculty or institute.

3- Supervising the performance evaluation at the faculty or institute.

4- Supervising the implementation of the academic evaluation and accreditation program.

5- Preparing and implementing development and strategic plans for the faculty or institute.

6- Supervising the work of the Information Technology Center (Unit).

7- Studying the difficulties or problems facing development and quality programs and proposing solutions to them.

8- Identifying the specialized training needs of faculty members in the faculty's academic departments and coordinating with the Deanship of Skills Development to implement them.

9- Encouraging faculty members to participate in attending training courses, programs and workshops provided by the Deanship of Skills Development.

10- Supervising the preparation of a plan to develop the skills of faculty members, employees and students.

11- Supervising the use of technologies, e-learning, educational media and distance education in teaching and learning within the faculty.

12- Supervising the preparation of the faculty's annual report and distributing it to the relevant authorities after its approval by the Dean.

13- Submitting periodic reports to the Dean of the Faculty on the development of work in the units affiliated with him according to the tasks assigned to him and the difficulties they face.

14- Following up on the development of educational facilities in the faculty and updating laboratories.

15- Developing the internal regulations for work in the Agency for Development and Quality, specializations and general description of the duties of its employees and how to coordinate between its affiliated units.

16- Supervising the financial affairs and the covenants allocated to the agency and its programs according to the regulations and systems.

17- Supervising the implementation of the topics referred to him related to development and quality.

18- Implementing and following up on the activities of the Creativity and Excellence Awards in academic, research and functional performance in the faculty.

19- Developing appropriate interim plans for the periodic review of the approved quality standards to ensure continuous improvement in the performance of the academic departments and administrative units in the faculty.

20- Developing a mechanism to identify the expectations, requirements and level of satisfaction of the faculty's clients (internal and external) and reporting them to all academic departments and relevant administrative units.

21- Implementing and following up on the evaluation and development of the teaching performance of the faculty members, and helping them achieve professional and scientific excellence.

22- Following up on updating the faculty's website regarding his agency and its affiliated administrative units.

23- Implementing the tasks assigned to him by the Dean of the Faculty.


Responsibilities of the Vice Dean for Development and Quality:

1- Recommending the appointment of supervisors of the units and departments affiliated with him.

2- Addressing the relevant parties inside and outside the university in the agency's jurisdiction and scope.

3- Issuing internal decisions required for the smooth running of the agency and its units in accordance with the rules and regulations.

4- Evaluating the performance of the agency’s employees.

5- Approving spending from the agency’s budget and treasury in accordance with the organizing regulations.

6- Approving regular and emergency leave for employees of the agency’s units.
