Mechanical Engineering is a rich and interesting field of engineering because it deals with almost everything that moves in the universe. Mechanical engineers solve many of the world's most pressing issues and problems, such as energy, health and environmental engineering, robotics, advanced manufacturing technologies, land, air and sea transportation, both above and below the surface of the water, as well as outer spaceships, etc. These are just a few applications from a long list of challenges facing our society. It can be said that the vehicles we ride, the planes we fly, the ships and submarines we travel in, and the spaceships that take us to outer space and other planets are mostly designed by mechanical engineers.
The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Mechanical and Similarly Named Engineering Programs.
